I’m married to the best of the best, and mama of four. We have 2 girls, 2 boys, all 2 years, 2 months apart in age. Our family recently moved to Richmond, Virginia, from the Midwest, where we’ve resided all our lives.
I can be found at Target with a coffee in hand, in a carpool line, or at home making obscene amounts of food for my big family with big appetites (and even bigger personalities!). I love Jesus, cheese, neutral colors and people all very passionately. I dislike the outdoors, loud noises and confrontation. (I also run, but I feel “medium” about that.)
My “grown up” journey began in 2008, at 20-years-old in a charming little college town in Wisconsin. I was a party girl who fell for a football player with big arms and a giant stud earring. A couple of weeks into cheap beer and dive bar hopping bliss, I found myself crying over 9 positive pregnancy tests and a big grown up decision to make.
Over the past decade, together, my husband and I have built a beautiful family together. We chose life in every aspect. We chose parenthood, marriage, joy and abundance together. A life that has obviously changed, evolved, required a great sense of humor and some serious work.
I started blogging again to encourage other mamas to choose joy and abundance in their everyday life. The internet has given us many opportunities to view “greener grass”, and I’m here to remind you to water your own because your life is as full and beautiful as you choose it to be.
I’m so grateful you are here to share in my story, and let me become apart of yours. I ask for your forgiveness, in advance, for my overuse of the word “so”, parentheses and run on sentences.
